An image that I have always had in mind when thinking about the historical aspects of MapleTea.
Though Himaruya-san has lightly touched on Canada's role in the Revolutionary War in one of the 2011 Christmas requests, there is still much potential for Hetalia to explore the Canadian subjectivity during the American Revolution.
In a sense the UK-Can relationships are not only defined by their bilateral alliances during war and peace, but also their shared psychological rivalry against American cultural influence.
By the way, Canada's shoulder band is worn in the opposite direction as Himaruya-san's drawings since in the uniform references I have found, the bands are worn in either directions (I guess it depends on the owner's dominant hand). So as a compositional decision, I drew it this way consciously.
